SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Huyton

Start Date: December 2025

Contract: Temporary (minimum one term)

Hours: Full Time

Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them thrive? We’re looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Huyton area this December.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions.
  • Foster a safe, supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN (desirable).
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Relevant qualifications or training (preferred but not essential).
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

  • Easily accessible by public transport with strong bus and train links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
