A dedicated team of staff, governors and parents/carers are proud to support 155 children and young people aged 3 to 19 years on roll and are passionate about their progress, happiness and care. The Headteacher encourages staff to be innovative and creative with a bespoke curriculum that puts the needs of pupils first, complemented by pioneering assessment and reporting systems.
The school was last inspected by Ofsted in June 2017 and was recognised as Good.
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will support colleagues to create a welcoming, nurturing environment, where all pupils feel safe, secure and are ready to learn. You will be committed to providing a culture of supported independence and will encourage pupils to be as independent as possible in the world around them.
Candidates must bring energy, confidence and enthusiasm with a commitment to inclusion. You will be welcomed into a large, strong and supportive LSA and teaching team. Under the guidance of the teaching staff, you will provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children to achieve defined progression targets.
Essential requirements:
- Experience of working effectively in an education or health care setting
- Experience providing support for individuals with additional needs
- Understanding of how different children develop and learn and the experience to identify and apply appropriate processes to achieve progression
- The ability to contribute effectively to the workload and responsibilities of a team
- Ability to demonstrate effective working with individual pupils and small groups under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
