Job description

An Outstanding Ofsted rated Special Needs school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support their staff and pupils in class. This is an SEN Primary School, with the pupils aged between 4 and 11 years old.

The school's pupils have a complex range of needs associated with learning difficulties, to include children within the Autistic Spectrum, children with physical needs, as well as speech and language difficulties.

Ideally, you will have previous experience working with children, and have a nurturing and patient disposition. The school like the TA to get involved in tasks and have the initiative to work without having to take too much direction from fellow colleagues - an independence to work is very important, as well as a flexibility to help in a variety of situations.

The school welcome TA's for trial days, upon completion of a vetting process, which gives both yourself and the school the opportunity to consider your suitability.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
