SEN Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for full-time positions in SEN schools across Salford, Wigan, Bolton, and Warrington, starting in September 2025.
You’ll be working in primary or secondary SEN settings, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom

Support pupils with learning, communication, and emotional regulation

Follow EHCPs and behaviour support plans
-
Assist with personal care and sensory needs, if required
-
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
-
Help create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs
-
A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
-
Good communication and teamworking skills
-
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, term time)

A desire to make a positive impact on children’s education and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
