SEN School in Bexley recruiting for Behaviour Teaching Assistant to start ASAP - Long Term Full Time Role

This SEN School based in London is an all age special school (5-19) located in the London Borough of Bexley and are currently recruiting for 2-3 Behaviour Teaching Assistants to work 1-1 to support pupils with ASC and challenging behaviour.

About the role:

• SEN Teaching Assistant role

• Supporting a pupil with challenging behaviour and ASC

• Long Term Full Time (Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30)

• Start Immediately

• Working in a small class with pupils led by a class teacher and supported by another 2 Teaching Assistants

About the School:

This lovely SEN School in Bexley caters’ for children and young people with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and moderate learning and medical needs. All their pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHC).

The ideal candidate and desired skills and experience:

• Available to start immediately

• Commit to a full time long term role (5 days a week)

• PECS and Makaton experience

• Team Teach (or equivalent positive handling training)

• SEMH/SEN experience

• Engaging personality

• The ability to build strong relationships

• Sports background

• Teaching assistant/support work

• Youth work / Support Work / Care Work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
