Teaching Personnel are looking for a teaching assistant to support within an SEN department within a secondary school in Liverpool. You will be supporting a mixture of abilities within the unit as well as supporting SEND pupils within the mainstream classroom environment. Working hours will be 8:30-3:30pm and you wil be covering a sickness absence at the school. The pupils range from year 7 to year 11 and all have cognition and learning difficulties along with speech and language communication needs, some have Autism and some have ADHD as an additional need.
Our client uses extensively for support staff, other roles may be available for the right person.

Responsibilities:
- Be able to build productive and professional relationships with pupils in a short space of time
- Be a self starter
- Be flexible in approach and manner. To be able to use time very wisely and respond to accountability over time management
- Have a level of confidence when dealing 121 with difficult situations with pupils and also parents
- Have the ability to ask for help when it is needed
- Have great deal of patience
