Are you experienced in supporting children with complex learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities?
A special needs school based in Northolt are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants with complex learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities experience to work in September. The role would be supporting pupils 1:1 throughout the school on a supply basis. The school caters for primary and secondary aged pupils (aged 3-17) years who may have moderate to severe learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical or physical need.
The school offers state-of-the-art facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, therapy suite, food technology rooms and medical room.
Requirements:
• Must be able to travel to Northolt (West London) daily
• Must be able to work 8:30am – to 4:00pm during school term time on the days that you are available
• Must have experience and interest in supporting children with physical disabilities and/or complex learning needs
• Must be able to support children with moving and handling, personal care and/or nappy changing (or be open to taking part in fee based courses)
• Must be confident in supporting children with Maths, English and core subjects
• Experience working in a Special Need School is highly beneficial
• Knowledge of specific visual aids such as PECS, TEACCH, symbols and sensory resources highly beneficial
Competitive rate ranging between £55 – 70 per day dependant on Special Needs experience and training!
A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.
