Teaching Assistant with Behaviour Experience

  • Do you have a Team Teach Qualification or would be interested in doing relevant training
  • Experience of working with individuals with challenging behaviour is essential
  • You must be able to remain calm in difficult situations

Teaching Personnel are looking for individuals that are wanting to work as a Teaching Assistant in York within Schools either as a behaviour buddy one to one with a child or in a specialist setting with small groups. York have a specialist provision that caters for children that are excluded from mainstream school for a short period of time or indefinitely. If this setting would suit you down the ground and you have the mentality to work with challenging pupils. experience of EBD/BESD/SEMH or mental health would be massively advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be able to remain calm in difficult situations and man manage a student to engage them in various activities. Must have the Team Teach qualification or be willing to be trained in this area.
