SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job description

PRU Teaching Assistants Needed

  • Dedicated team that work with you to place you in schools and locations tailored to your needs
  • Training courses such as Team Teach, Nasen, Moving & Handling training offered to continue your professional development.
  • Keen to work within specialist provisions.

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit experienced supply Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of different PRU and SEMH settings across South Wales.

The schools I work with cater for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) as well as other difficulties including ADHD and Autism. These specialist provisions are looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy a challenge. Having experience in supporting children who display challenging behaviour or have a variety of SEN is not essential but beneficial to fully flourish within this role.

In return Teaching Personnel strive to work around you and your availability whether you want long term or short term work. We can find you placements that suit you. Our ultimate goal is to find you long term, full time work within specialist provisions.

Team Teach training is advantageous for this role. However, we are running a Team Teach course in February half term. If you are flexible and looking for supply work across South Wales, more specifically Cardiff within a PRU setting then please get in touch with Bethan Kelland on 02920 660270 or email your updated CV to bethan.kelland@teachingpersonnel.com
