SEMH Teaching Assistant - GOOD Roman Catholic Primary school - Bury (M26)

  • Do you want to work within a mainstream primary school helping to raise attainment in disenchanted pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a one of our partner schools in Radcliffe Bury (M26) looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant with a specialist focus on raising attainment and behaviour management with pupils with SEMH needs.

What the candidate will need:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Experience in phonics, Maths and English interventions
  • A strong classroom presence and a resilient and nurturing attitude for children in a classroom setting

The position will be working across Key Stage 1 and 2 working with a number of pupils with different SEMH and SEN needs. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access to curriculum fully.

This Roman Catholic primary school has a warm and inclusive ethos and the school is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their thriving school community. The role will entail leading a small class of SEN pupils reaching learning targets and there will be daily planning involved.

The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility in leading the class, teaching assistants and meet pupil development targets.

  • Pay rates are £55-65!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
