SEMH- Teacher - Team-Teach

The position is full time for an SEMH teacher and commences in September 2017. Initially the positon is temporary for the first school term September – October, however there may be an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The Multi Academy trust is made up of 3 sites all of which are located in the Oldham area. The head teacher is currently looking to recruit an SEMH teacher to start from September 2017. Sites cater for individuals between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons that are designed to support and encourage the holistic development of pupils with SEMH. The ideal teacher will be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs.

The ideal teacher will have:

- Qualified Teacher Status and extensive SEMH experience

- Team-Teach training (can be provided)

- A considerable amount of experience working with pupils with SEMH

- Experience working within a special needs setting (preferably school)

- An in-depth understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to all pupils

- The ability to build positive working relationships with pupils, school support staff, other teachers and parents

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
