Teaching Personnel is working closely with an innovative and forward-looking Medway school, which provides education for students who primarily experience complex learning difficulties and disabilities which may include speech, language, emotional, behavioural, sensory, physical or autistic spectrum secondary disabilities.
The school includes a day special school, a specialist ASD section and a Post 16 Further Education Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled SEN KS1/KS2 Teacher to join a forward thinking SEN school. You will be an experienced teacher with recent KS1/KS2 experience, supporting pupils with Autism. You will be a passionate and dedicated practitioner, keen to join a school whereby you can put your own stamp on the role, and create a positive and inclusive culture as the school grows. You will have a bubbly personality, caring nature and a good sense of humour! You will have substantial experience working with children with Autism/ASD/SEMH and ideally will have a good understanding of PECS and Makaton.
To be successful, you will need a good understanding of the Primary Curriculum and Special Needs; specifically with Autism (ASD). The aim is to create a positive and inclusive environment for all.
