Secondary Teachers

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working very closely with Schools and SEN Services to provide specialised 1:1 tuition to pupils throughout Sussex.

The majority of the time, tuition is needed for pupils who are not in education and are awaiting school placements; they need the support to ensure that they do not fall too far behind in their learning while waiting on a school provision. Tuition sessions can be anything from 1 hour a week to 3 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Pupils may require tuition support for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Behavioural difficulties (Pupils excluded from school and are waiting on a new placement)
  • Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
  • Medical needs
  • Relocation, waiting for a school placement
  • Improvements in grades needed
  • Support with GCSE preparation

The majority of the referrals that we receive fall within the core subjects; therefore specialists within this field would be beneficial in order to fulfil the current need. Teaching Personnel receive tuition requirements for pupils ranging from Year 1 up to College age, therefore we are looking for both Primary and Secondary specialists.
