Teaching Personnel are working with a unique provision in the South of Bristol (located near the centre) where no child or young person is left without help and that children and young people are supported to build their own resilience and capability. They’re looking for their next engaging and enthusiastic teacher to join their vibrant team!
The role is for a Secondary Teacher to teach a core subject up to GCSE level with the responsibility of a key worker. This fanatic opportunity is for a teacher who is looking to teach their specialist subject in core GCSE to small classroom of 5-10 students aged 14-16 years old. The needs of the students varies as this is an institution for those who have been disengaged in the mainstream learning who are wanting to obtain their GCSE’s.
The role:
- Class size of 5- 10 students aged 14-16 years old with HLTA support within the classroom.
- To teach a secondary core subject up to GCSE level.
- Plan, mark and assess the work of students. PAID TO SCALE weekly
- To have a strong desire to have an impact on the lives of vulnerable young people and have the interest in working holistically with a child centred approach.
- Has experience with SEN and/ or SEMH children. Not essential, but desirable.
- Opportunity to initially work with Teaching Personnel, with potential for a permanent school contract.

The ideal candidate:
- Holds QTS Status
- Has the ability to promote high quality teaching and learning
- Can support in the elevation of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively with the school
- Has experience working with KS3 and 4

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
