Teaching Personnel are seeking two Science Teachers to join our partner school in Tameside on a full-time basis. The school is a successful and oversubscribed Roman Catholic school with excellent results. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged as 'Good' in all areas including the achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils, leadership and management. Due to a need within the Science department, the Head of Science is now seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and highly motivated Science teachers to join the department from January 2019.

The successful Science Teacher will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and inspire students. They will join an established department with a friendly, dedicated team who achieve excellent results and will teach Science at key stage 3 and 4 GCSE across all abilities. The successful Science Teacher will join the department in January 2019 but an earlier start date would be desirable if possible (November 2018). Whilst this is a temporary position in the first instance, there is the potential to continue on a permanent contract if suitable.

Our partner school is a Roman Catholic co-educational voluntary aided comprehensive college for students between the ages of 11 and 16. The school was opened in 1964 and gained Specialist College status in Mathematics and Computing in 2004. There is a friendly and experienced teaching staff in the college that work together to support the schools Christian Ethos and ensure that each student is enabled to achieve their full potential. The schools most recent Ofsted report underlined the consistency of good teaching as strength of the college and stated that pupils had good attitudes to learning and work and mature attitudes to education.
