Part time Science teacher - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a teacher of Science on behalf of one of our client secondary schools located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre.

The school wish to appoint a Science teacher on a part time basis for a Maternity Cover that start is due to start in February 2019. This is a Roman Catholic school with an excellent reputation, making it the ideal opportunity for any Science teacher looking for a part time position.

  • Science teacher required to cover a 0.5 timetable - 2/3 days per week
  • Secondary school that was graded 'Good' in their latest Ofsted report
  • Maternity cover - up to 12 months with a starting date of January/February
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience
  • Well resourced Science department led by a supportive and popular head of department

The successful Science teacher will be joining an extremely supportive Science department, with this in mind teachers of all experience are encouraged to apply for this role.

Science teachers wishing to be considered for this position are required to be comfortable teaching all areas of KS3 Science as well as their specialism area to GCSE level. The Headteacher seeks to appoint a Science teacher who is able to challenge the learning of all pupils and positive impact attainment.
