Temporary Science teacher required at an 11-16 secondary school based in Orrell, Wigan.

Our client school located in Wigan currently have a temporary Science teaching post following the Easter break until the end of the academic year.

  • Full time Science position from April 2021 until July 2021. (Covid dependent)
  • Teachers of Science (Leading a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE)
  • Located on the outskirts of Wigan (WN5) the school is a short drive from the Wigan town Centre.  

Due to absence within their Science department, our client school located in Wigan now wish to appoint a temporary Science teacher following the Easter holidays. The incoming Science teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including; planning, marking and attending departmental meetings.

Located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre this school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Golborne and Tyldesley via the M6 motorway. There are also direct transport links from Wigan town centre. Our client secondary school currently caters for around 950 pupils which makes it large in comparison to other secondary schools in the area.

The incoming Science teacher will have a PGCE specialising within 11-16 and will be confident stretching the learning of GCSE pupils of all abilities. The school have no preference about levels of experience and newly qualified Science teachers are welcome to apply, and NQT induction can be supported for a term.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
