Science Teacher - Wigan

Full time Science teacher required on a full time basis at a secondary school based in Wigan from February 2019.

Due to an upcoming resignation in the school's Science department, our client school in West Manchester is looking to appoint a full time Science teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science. This is a full time position from February to July 2019. The suitable candidate is likely to secure a permanent position with the school after this time. The successful Science teacher will take on full departmental responsibility, including the delivery of well prepared and inspiring Science lessons and strong classroom control to encourage high pupil attainment in the subject.

Key aspects of the Science Teacher role include:

  • Full time Science teacher in Wigan from February - July 2019
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school after this time
  • Pay will range between £500 - £800 per week depending upon experience and teachers pay scale

The secondary school situated just West of Wigan is accessible via the A577 for drivers and is located next to good bus/public transport links for non drivers. Due to its location on the outskirts of Wigan town centre this school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Golborne and Tyldesley via the M6 motorway.
