An exciting opportunity to join the Science faculty of a small secondary school in Bury.
- Full-time Science teacher.
- Required from September 2020.
- Maternity cover.
- Paid to teaching scale point (GBP24,373-GBP40,490).
- Supporting pupils aged 11-16.
Our client school are currently looking for a member of staff to cover a maternity leave within the Science department for the full academic year. The school only contains around 600 pupils and therefore, has small classroom sizes allowing students to have access to more focussed support. The school is equipped with modern science laboratories and technology within each classroom.
The incoming teacher will be expected to teach a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and to take on full planning and marking responsibilities. The successful Science teacher will be teaching pupils at varying levels of learning ability including those with minor learning difficulties and should be comfortable delivering differentiated lessons. It will also be important to monitor and evaluate pupil progress to report this back to senior members of the Science department.
To be considered you must have QTS and a subject specialism within a relevant Science. Both newly qualified and experienced Science teachers are being considered for this position.
Located in Bury, the school is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and Whitefield. The school is also accessible via several public transport links from areas surrounding Greater Manchester for candidates who do not drive.
