Science teacher

Due to a maternity leave in the Autumn term, our client school in Oldham are looking to appoint a Science teacher from October to join them on a full-time basis until the end of the 18/19 academic year.

* October start date, could be sooner for suitable candidate

* Earn in line with MPS/UPS for duration of post

* Join collaborative and supportive department which leads school in terms of results

* Modern facilities throughout, outstanding provisions for learning available to students and staff

* Full time Science teacher required, Chemistry, Biology or Physics specialism suitable

* Easily accessible from Manchester city centre via tram or bus routes

Our client school is a large, modern secondary school with excellent facilities due to recently opening and a consistent investment in development of resources and provisions for learning. The school has gone from strength to strength in recent years which can be accredited to decisive and effective leadership by the new Head and their leadership team, a number of school wide plans and strategies have been implemented which in turn have increased the standards in teaching and learning and ensured behaviour has improved throughout the school. The school look set to continue moving in the right direction, and would like incoming members of staff to be committed to upholding high standards in everything they do.

The school is looking for a Science teacher with a proven record of delivering excellent results across Key Stages 3 and 4, as well as ensuring pupil participation and engagement with Science as a subject. Behaviour has improved, but the most desirable candidate will have the ability to effectively manage a classroom and provide stimulating lessons consistently. The school are aiming to appoint a Science teacher looking to commit to a long term position, and in turn, the school will provide regular professional development opportunities, bespoke training including management and leadership for those interested and support from Faculty lead and the department as a whole.
