Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an ambitious English Teacher to work in one of our client schools in Stockport. The position is due to start in September at the start of the academic year and will be a full-time position. The right candidate will have the potential to be permanently contracted with the school.

The salary for this position is in line with the Teacher Pay Scale, (£30,000 to £46,525 per annum).

Our client school is looking for either a newly qualified or an experienced English Teacher to join their English department. The main responsibilities of this position are creating lesson plans as well as well providing interesting learning resources. You will also be required to regularly plan lessons and mark students work, providing constructive feedback in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be required to monitor the progress of their pupils, targeting individual learning needs.

The key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safety of all pupils, whether this is in the classroom or on an external visit
  • Planning and researching lesson plans
  • Distribution and marking of homework.

This school is in Stockport. It provides education to children between the ages of 11 and 16. This school is highly academic, offering a high standard of education to its pupils.
