Science Supply Teachers – Roles Available from September

Location: Various secondary schools across Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term and short-term roles available
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (via PAYE)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Science Supply Teachers for a range of opportunities in our exclusive partner schools, starting in September 2025. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic teachers of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3–5.

Whether you are looking for daily supply, part-time roles, or full-time long-term assignments, we can offer flexibility to suit your preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Science supply teacher, your duties may include:

  • Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience

  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of different learners

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and professionally

  • Marking and assessing work in accordance with school policies (for long-term roles)

  • Supporting student progress and promoting a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science

  • Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools

  • Strong classroom management skills and a proactive, flexible approach

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (can be arranged with Teaching Personnel)
