Maths Supply Teachers – Roles Available from September

Location: Various secondary schools across Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term and short-term roles available
Pay: Competitive weekly pay (via PAYE)

Teaching Personnel is working in exclusive partnership with a number of secondary schools across the region and is currently recruiting Maths Supply Teachers for positions starting in September 2025. Whether you're seeking full-time work, part-time flexibility, or a longer-term post, we have a variety of roles to suit your availability and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maths supply teacher, your duties may include:

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3–5

  • Following the school's schemes of work or delivering pre-set lessons

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policy

  • Supporting pupils to achieve their full potential and ensuring continuity in their learning

  • Marking and assessing student work where applicable (particularly in long-term placements)

  • Maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding throughout all responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Subject specialism in Maths or strong teaching experience in the subject

  • Good classroom management and communication skills

  • Adaptable, reliable, and professional approach

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (can be arranged through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
