Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit Cover Supervisors for Secondary Schools across Northamptonshire!   

Flexible Cover Supervisor Opportunities – Secondary Schools
Job Type: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time (minimum 2 days per week)
Pay: £95–£120 per day (rate may vary depending on travel)
Location: Across Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025 – Ongoing flexible and contract opportunities available

Are you a graduate or professional exploring a career in education? This flexible Cover Supervisor role offers valuable classroom experience in secondary schools across Northamptonshire. With opportunities to work part-time or full-time, this role is ideal for individuals seeking variety, consistency, or a long-term placement in a single school.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will support students in Years 7 to 11, delivering pre-prepared lesson content and maintaining a productive and positive learning environment. While you may cover lessons across a range of subjects, schools will often tailor timetables to suit your strengths—such as assigning Maths cover to a Maths graduate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
  • Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom expectations
  • Support students with their learning where appropriate
  • Report back to teaching staff on student engagement and any incidents

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Confident working with students aged 11–16
  • Comfortable supporting creative subjects like Art, Design, or Food Technology
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Able to adapt to different school environments and teaching styles
  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, tutoring, or coaching)
