Humanities Cover Supervisor – Full-Time & Flexible Roles Available
Location: Northamptonshire 
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Do you hold a degree in History, Geography, or Religious Education and have a passion for inspiring the next generation of learners? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Humanities Specialist Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Liverpool. We are offering both flexible day-to-day cover and full-time subject-specific roles for the right candidates.

About the Role

As a Humanities Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver engaging, pre-prepared lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, or RE during teacher absences. You will ensure students remain on task, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support a positive and respectful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering lessons across Humanities subjects using provided teaching resources
  • Managing the classroom and ensuring a safe and productive environment
  • Encouraging thoughtful discussion, critical thinking, and respectful debate
  • Reporting on student behaviour, participation, and progress

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in History, Geography, or Religious Education (essential)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills
  • Experience working with young people in a classroom or similar setting is desirable
  • A confident, professional presence and a passion for Humanities education
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility

Additional Requirements

  • A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • The right to work in the UK
  • References to cover the last two years of employment or education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
