Residential Support Worker - Ripon

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a residential school in Ripon that are looking for 2 x Learning Support Assistants to go into a permanent position with them.

The school caters to Looked After Children who are aged 9-19 years old and are of mixed gender. The students live there and the school needs extra support to help them to engage in their education. These students are vulnerable and you need to tailor your support style to help them overcome their barriers to learning. They might display challenging behaviours and have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, you need to be none judgemental and come from a place of compassion that focuses on the reasons behind their behaviours and not their actions themselves.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
