Religious Studies Teacher

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED RELIGIOUS STUDIES OR HUMANITIES TEACHER LOOKING TO UTILISE YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE WITHIN A SECONDARY SCHOOL?

Qualifications:

QTS or PGCE qualification or equivalent

Previous experience as an RE teacher or experience teaching humanities subjects

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Religious Studies national curriculum
  • Knowledge and sensitivity of various religions and beliefs
  • Have transferable knowledge and skills across various humanities subjects
  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative RE lessons to a range of ages and abilities
  • Assess pupils learning and development through regular assessments and provide prompt feedback

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver Religious Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach students about various religions and beliefs with sensitivity and respect
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to support their development
  • Create engaging and interactive lessons to cater to different learning styles
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to teaching Religious Studies

Required Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in Religious Studies or related field

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
