Religious Education teaching position available in Roman Catholic School in excellent London location. Join a school which is committed to being inclusive and developing excellence and achievement with all learners. Join an Ofsted rated ‘good’ school as well as having an ‘Outstanding’ rating with regards to the leadership provided.
The study of religion is a crucial part of the schools curriculum and is invaluable in helping students understand the world they live in. The vast majority of people in the world choose to live their life by a religious code; so helping students to understand what people believe, why they believe it and how the practice their faith helps to break down barriers of prejudice and discrimination as well as ensuring young people are religiously literate. Understanding the spiritual, moral and ethical perspectives and traditions of others encourages tolerance and peace and helps to prevent misunderstandings.
THE ROLE: 5 days per week, Religious Education Teaching position, this is a great opportunity for a highly motivated RE teacher to deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires children to appreciate and engage with what they are learning.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed
Previous UK teaching experience – RE KS4
A can do/proactive attitude
