Full-Time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant – Maternity Cover 
Location: Chorley
Start Date: November 3rd, 2025
Contract: 1 Year (Maternity Leave Cover)
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and highly organised Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our school office team in Chorley for a 1-year maternity cover, starting November 3rd, 2025.

This is a key front-of-house role within the school, where you’ll be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff—helping to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reception duties including answering calls, welcoming visitors, and handling enquiries

• Provide general administrative support to the school team

• Maintain accurate records, files, and databases

• Assist with attendance monitoring and communications to parents

• Support with correspondence, school newsletters, and document preparation

• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school or office administration role preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, SIMS or other school systems desirable)

• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure

• Friendly, approachable, and professional manner

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
