Reception Transition Support - South Gloucestershire

Teaching Personnel work with a large number of primary schools in South Gloucestershire that have asked us to help them with their recruitment of EYFS transition support. For a large number of students; starting school in September can be very challenging. Moving key stages, into school or even year groups can have an impact on a young person's academic levels and/or emotional and social development. Support at the start of the school year for identified learners will give them the best chance to succeed and have a positive start to the new academic year. Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to work with children who may struggle to adjust to school life; continuing to support them throughout the academic year allowing them to thrive in their later years at school. As Reception transition support you will be working as a general Learning Support Assistant as well as with individual students who need extra help and in small groups.

The successful candidate:

  • Will have experience with the primary curriculum or supporting EYFS/KS1 pupils
  • Will be academically strong and can support pupils with areas of the curriculum
  • Can show initiative and be flexible in supporting where the support is most needed
  • Is committed and reliable
  • Is enthusiastic and engaging
  • Has good classroom management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
