Qualified SEN Teacher
Job description
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team and provide high quality teaching and support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism spectrum condition, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social emotional mental health needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering personalised lessons that inspire progress and build confidence in learners with additional needs. Working closely with support staff, therapists and parents, you will create a nurturing and structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed. Your role will include:

Designing and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Working collaboratively with SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals.

Supporting the development of social, emotional, and communication skills alongside academic progress.

Monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress in line with EHCP outcomes.

Creating a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates small steps of success.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEN Teacher or a qualified teacher with a strong interest in SEN and a desire to grow within this field. You will demonstrate patience, resilience, and creativity in your approach to teaching and supporting pupils with complex needs. Essential requirements include:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience of teaching pupils with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings.

Strong understanding of strategies to support learners with autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with families and professionals.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
