The Role
As a History Teacher in this forward-thinking school, you will be responsible for delivering high quality lessons that challenge, motivate and support students of all abilities. You will have a strong command of your subject knowledge and the ability to plan creative schemes of work that bring historical events and themes to life. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 that are ambitious, differentiated and in line with the national curriculum.

Using a range of strategies to ensure lessons are inclusive and engaging for all learners, including those with SEN and EAL needs.

Preparing students for GCSE examinations through targeted teaching, effective assessment and personalised support.

Promoting curiosity, debate and independent thinking through historical enquiry and source analysis.

Contributing to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular clubs, trips and enrichment activities.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic History Teacher who is committed to ensuring students achieve their best outcomes. You will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire learners to think critically about the past and its impact on the present. Essential requirements include:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Strong academic background in History or a related subject.

Ability to plan, deliver and assess high quality lessons that engage and challenge students.

A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting the wellbeing of all students.

Excellent classroom management skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
