The Role:
As a Core Subject Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that stretch and support learners of all abilities, ensuring progress is made in line with school and national expectations. You will play an active role in raising attainment, fostering a love of learning, and contributing to the wider life of the school. Collaboration with colleagues and commitment to maintaining high standards in behaviour and achievement will be central to your role.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching across the core subject curriculum (English, Maths, or Science) to KS3 and KS4 pupils.

Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements, ensuring progress for all learners.

Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of SEN, EAL, and high-ability students.

Maintain a positive learning environment through effective behaviour management and adherence to school policies.

Monitor and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to parents and SLT.

Contribute to departmental planning, resources, and moderation to ensure consistency and high standards.

Engage in the pastoral and extracurricular life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and school values.
What We’re Looking For:

A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong academic background in a core subject.

Experience teaching at KS3–KS4, with evidence of raising attainment and securing positive outcomes.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.

A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
