THE ROLE
As a Core Subject Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured lessons that inspire, challenge and motivate learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have a deep understanding of your specialist area—whether English, Maths or Science—and use creative strategies to help students develop confidence, resilience and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Your role will involve assessing progress effectively, supporting individual learning needs and contributing to the continued success of the department and the wider school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in your core subject area across KS3 and KS4.

Use data and assessment to monitor student progress and inform future planning.

Maintain a positive, orderly and inclusive learning environment.

Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of departmental resources.

Support the school’s commitment to literacy, numeracy and STEM enrichment.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote a culture of respect and responsibility.
ABOUT YOU

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in your subject specialism.

Strong classroom management skills and an ability to inspire and motivate students.

Proven track record of securing positive outcomes across KS3 and KS4.

A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and organisational skills with a collaborative mindset.

A belief in the power of education to transform lives and raise aspirations.
