- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
A large Secondary school located in Cambridge is seeking to appoint a graduate Teaching Assistant to work with students across KS3 and KS4 this academic year. This position is open to graduates of all specialisms, and the school are wishing to appoint someone for a September start. The successful graduate will work with the school throughout the autumn term.
-Full time teaching assistant position, supporting learning & covering lessons

-Working with students in class and delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
-Pay in line with previous experiences, up to £60 per day
The school wish to appoint a graduate with previous experience working with students aged 11-16 in an educational capacity. The position will incorporate supporting pupils from year 7-11 in their classes. Duties will include reading questions, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged.
Further to this, the successful graduate teaching assistant will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. This task will improve confidence and behaviour management strategies within the class.
It is advisable that interested graduates have access to their own transportation due to the location of the school. The core principle that is followed is one of achieving excellence, and the successful graduate will be expected to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to achieve excellence across the curriculum.
