Teacher needed for pupils with low self esteem and other SEN

  • Get under confident students back on track with their learning
  • Access to CPD courses through Teaching Personnel
  • Term time work only

Interested in teaching children with special educational needs?

Do you have patience and a passion for helping others?

I am currently working with a secondary school in the Hammersmith and Fulham area that caters for pupils with speech and language difficulties, autism and psychological difficulties including depression and anxiety. The pupils are age 11-16 and may have been previously unsuccessful in mainstream education.

If you have two or more of the following, you could be suitable for this role:

• Previous experience of teaching children with ASC – this could have been in a mainstream setting

• QTS and Psychology degree or A-Level

• Team Teach, Autism Awareness or Makaton/PECS training

• Background in support/social work, youth work or counselling for young people

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills

• Availability between 8:30am and 4pm during term time

• A calm and patient manner
