Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in the DE24 area who are looking for part time Teaching Assistants after October half term until the Christmas break.
The Primary School caters for student with Special Educational Needs such as Moderate Leaning Diffivulties, Autism and Complex Needs.
We are specifically looking for people that have previously worked with SEN and have either worked in an education setting / residential or youth work setting.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic the School are looking for people that can support them whilst they deliver 1:1 intervention - therefore you may have to work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
The ideal candidate:
- Primary aged related experience
- Knowledge of both Makaton AND Pecs
- Previous experience with SEN - including SLD, MLD and Autism
- Available at least 3 days a week - and be availalbe to work between 8:30 and 15:30
- Able to work in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Able to be flexible on working days - and be able to take on the day calls for work
