The Headteacher and Governing Body of a primary school in Blackburn are keen to appoint a temporary teacher to work part-time Monday-Friday five mornings per week. This is a new and exciting role in school centred around providing intensive tailored Maths interventions to small groups of children in Y6. The Headteacher has identified this year group as being the most affected by school closures. Candidates with previous KS2 teaching experience and a keen interest in Maths are welcome to apply!
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced class teacher and or an NQT with a proven track record of raising attainment in the classroom. Behaviour is exemplary in school and children are eager to learn. The Headteacher is well respected both in school and within the wider community, therefore staffing requirements at this school rarely arise.
In order to be considered you must:
- Have a genuine passion for closing gaps in learning!
- Have a passion for Maths!
- Hold full UK Qualified Teacher Status
- Have a proven track record of raising attainment across KS2.
- Be available from January 2021
This role will initially be to work until Easter. After the first six weeks the role will be reviewed with the view to extend until the end of the academic year and possibly into the 2021/22 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity and is not to be missed!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
