Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work for us on behalf of a special school in the Basingstoke area. The school caters for children aged 2 to 19 years of age who have a range of learning, communication and physical difficulties that range from moderate to very.

The successful teaching assistant will ideally have experience working with children who have physical difficulties or learning and communication difficulties. We are looking for pro-active teaching assistants who will engage and motivate the pupils.

Experience with Team Teach is desirable but not essential as training can be provided by Teaching Personnel.

The successful SEN teaching assistant must:

• Be pro active and be able to engage students

• Be patient and can be a positive role model for children

• Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties

• Have great references

• Have a DBS or be willing to apply for one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
