PMLD Teacher

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a PMLD Teacher for a SEN School for students aged 11-19 with needs including PMLD, SLD and Complex Medical Needs in the Bristol Area. The successful teacher will be experienced in supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and challenging behaviours within a Secondary SEN setting.

Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and People Moving & Manual Handling are highly desired. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers, Overseas Trained Teachers or Teachers with mainstream experience looking to work within Special Needs and have appropriate skills.

Our ideal SEN Teacher will have:

-6 months experience teaching students with PMLD and SLD in a SEN setting

-Up to date Team Teach/Moving & Handling and a good understanding of SEN

-Adaptable across subjects and curriculum knowledge across multiple subjects

-Qualified Teacher status with a good understanding of differentiation and behaviour management

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
