Teaching Personnel has an Ideal role for you!
Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a school in the Nelson area to recruit a Science Teacher starting ASAP, for a 1-term contract on a part time basis (2 days a week, Tues/Thurs) through to the end of the academic year. Should the candidate be successful in the post then they will be considered for a permanent position starting in October 2018.
The Nelson based school has been graded "Requires Improvement" by Ofsted but have been commended for the improvements made by the senior leadership team regarding the behaviour in school and the progress made by pupils. The school are now looking for Teachers with a strong ethic regarding behaviour management to uphold the improvements which have been made. The Science department gains excellent feedback regarding both the facilities available and the supportive nature of the staff.
A suitable candidate should be experienced delivering Science across all 3 specialisms to KS3 and to GCSE level. The school is following the new AQA science specifications across both GCSE courses and so experience working with this exam board would be preferable, however, not essential.
