Permanent or Long term position. School are looking for the right fit for their department and would offer a permanent position if suitable. Full-Time hours.

Qualifications:

English degree, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 


Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate English Teacher for a secondary school located in Upminster. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to secondary school students to at least GCSE standard.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • English degree preferred
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Ideally to have completed ITT 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the English language and literature
  • Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in behaviour management techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
