Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Roles available in Sheffield/Chesterfield/Barnsley/Doncaster

Full-time/Part-time/day to day roles available

Salary: £83-95 per day

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with special education needs (SEN) schools in Sheffield, Barnsley, Chesterfield, and Doncaster who are looking for passionate teaching assistants. We have day to day work, part-time, and full-time roles available. High performing applicants may have the chance to be offered permanent contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Support: classroom activities, working alongside teachers to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Assist: Provide targeted assistance to students with varying learning needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize Knowledge: your understanding of mental health to contribute to the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and engaging atmosphere within the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Passion for supporting students with additional needs in their educational and emotional development.
  • A resilient personality that can handle behaviour that challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within an educational setting.
  • Previous experience in a school or care setting with additional needs is advantageous but not required.
  • Adequate transportation options

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
