Nursery practitioner Level 3/Level 2 required

Job description

An outstanding setting looking for an outstanding nursery practitioner! The setting ensures they provide a secure, enabling environment for the children to learn. The successful candidate must have passion, energy and a love for working with children. They are passionate about the outside environment and learning through play. The nursery is in the heart of their community and they do regular work with organisations in their local area. The position will suit somebody who is looking to move forward with their career and is open to completing further training.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of a relevant childcare qualification
  • Previous experience of working in childcare
  • Whether you are newly qualified or very experienced we would like to hear from you.

Desired skills/knowledge

  • Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and of promoting the welfare of children
  • An ability to communicate confidently with well spoken and written English language,
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted requirements
  • Good and growing knowledge of child development and childcare

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate the needs of individual children as a key worker.
  • To follow and understand the nursery and local government safe guarding policy.
  • To provide a stimulating and caring environment for children aged 3mths to 5 yrs.
  • To contribute to the successfully smooth running of the rooms.
  • To have good knowledge and implement the EYFS within the nursery.
  • Complete planning daily

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
