Job description

Have you got experience working with children?

You would be involved in assessing the children and report writing where you would be supported with this by the nursery teacher. The children in the unit typically attend the unit for 2 to 3 terms. The assessment unit still follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum but also offers additional experiences such as sensory activities and minibus outings.

The unit is also supported by a Speech and Language Therapist who works closely with the children, parents and staff. You would be surrounded by a knowledgeable and supportive team to guide you through the start of your new job role.

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of a level 2 in childcare
  • Warm and caring individual
  • Happy to assist in personal care (toileting and nappy changes)
  • Eager to support pupils in their social and physical development
