Job description

Numeracy Specialist Teachers required within Derby for intervention support

  • Flexible part time hours within Derby in delivering specialised and tailored Numeracy programmes.
  • A fantastic opportunity to support pupils on a 1:1 basis in raising attainment.
  • Competitive rates of pay.

At Teaching Personnel, our Primary clients within Derby are becoming more and more reliant on additional support from Teachers to assist their pupils in raising learning and attainment levels through delivering tailored, subject specific intervention sessions on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis.

We are seeking to recruit experienced and flexible Fully Qualified Teachers who specialise in Numeracy and have a genuine interest in developing the learning and ability levels.

Staff who tailor a well planned, structured and fun Numeracy Coach programme to individual pupils have a proven track record in raising their engagement and attainment. You will also be required to complete individual Pupil Progress Reports and have high communication skills to liaise with the class teachers.

Our programmes are designed as booster sessions to fill subject knowledge gaps to ensure pupils, of low or high abilities, are reaching the levels they should be working at, or specifically for KS2 SATs. This could mean you will be working with a variety of abilities and year groups so it is essential that your curriculum knowledge in Numeracy is up to date and that you cater for the needs of each individual pupil.

We would be really keen to hear from you if you have experience of delivering Numeracy intervention strategies and learning schemes.
