Job description

There are multiple positions available for GCSE subject Tutors to work on a full time basis in the Cornwall and Devon areas. These positions are commencing as soon as possible and running until the academic year and beyond.

The tuition is for pupils who are being educated outside of Mainstream. They could be being educated outside of Mainstream Education for a variety of reasons including: pregnancy, LAC pupils, SEMH needs or extreme challenging behaviour. In order to be considered for the role you need to be either be a Fully Qualified Teacher/NQT or have significant tutoring experience or 1:1 experience.

You will need to have the appropriate skills needed to build effective working relationships with pupils in order to engage them and support them in achieving the best possible outcomes.

In order to be considered for the positions you will need:

- Fully Qualified Teacher Status/NQT/FE or significant tutoring experience

- An in depth subject knowledge across GCSE subjects OR willingness to adapt and learn

- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
