Maths Teacher position - September start

Due to a gap in the Maths department our client secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a teacher of Maths to join their faculty on a full time basis from September. This position is initially on a temporary basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the right Maths teacher.

Situated in Rochdale close to the town centre our client secondary school is easily accessible via the A627 road and is easily accessible via the surrounding areas Manchester City Centre, Oldham and Bury. This is a larger than average mixed 11-16 comprehensive secondary school with over 1300 student's currently on roll and has been heavily oversubscribed for many years. The school is committed to achieving the highest attainment and social standards for students which is reflected in the high results achieved with over 65% receiving a 9-4 and over 43% 9-5 in Maths in 2017.

Responsibilities of the incoming Maths teacher:

• Plan and prepare differentiated Maths lessons up to KS4 in line with the curriculum
• Consistently challenge students of all abilities to ensure they reach their maximum potential
• Must be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
• Liaise with the Head of Maths on the progress and performance of all students

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
