Tutors required in Warsop!

  • Regular work available with flexible working hours
  • Rewarding 1:1 roles
  • Ongoing CPD including Autism and Team Teach available

Teaching Personnel are working with a school in the Warsop area (NG20) who are looking for tutors in preparation for the new academic year to work 1:1 specifically with pupils at risk of exclusion and those who struggle with attendance and poor behaviour.

We are supporting the school to put some 1:1 support in place for a minimum of 10 pupils, some who are Looked After and others who need more general support to raise attainment and approve behaviour.

The hours will be flexible depending on each students’ needs, but will generally be sessional for a couple of hours per session. We can look to provide tutors with a suitable timetable supporting a variety of students each morning or afternoon, depending on your availability. You will be working predominantly with KS3 and KS4 students, implementing pastoral support and core subjects.

We are ideally looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• A Teacher with either QTS or PTLLS/DTLLS qualifications

• Teaching Assistants with experience planning and delivering intervention

• Confident to work on a 1:1 basis with students who may be very disengaged from education

• Able to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that progress is tracked on a regular basis

• Someone who can act as a positive role model to help students re-engage with their education.

• Someone who is able to boost self-esteem as well as help students to make academic progress

• Committed and dedicated to working with vulnerable pupils on an ongoing basis

• A flexible attitude to ensure the changing needs of each pupil are met

For additional information about applying to work as a Tutor with Teaching Personnel, please contact Emma Gale on 0115 8456409 as soon as possible.
