Maths Teacher

A large comprehensive school in Bolton are currently looking to recruit a Maths teacher to join their welcoming and thriving Maths department due to an internal promotion from April 2019.

The Maths teacher post is initially until the end of the academic year, however the school are able to offer a progressive role moving into the 2019/20 academic year for those looking to secure a permanent role.

• Full time Maths teacher from April 2019

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£23,720 - £39,406)

School details:

This high achieving 11-16 secondary school in Bolton, a 10 minute drive from the town centre, the school is easily accessible via the A58. The school was rated 'Good' by a recent Ofsted report which the school pride themselves on and would wish to appoint a Maths teacher who will strive excellence and high attainment. The school also offers free onsite parking to staff, alternatively the public transport links are very accessible from the surrounding areas of Bury, Salford and Wigan.

Maths teacher applicant requirements:

• Hold UK QTS and a PGCE specialising within secondary Mathematics
• Be confident teaching both KS3 and GCSE pupils, ranging in ability
• Have good behaviour management skills and hold a proven record of raising pupil attainment
• Be available to start in April 2019 until the end of the academic year initially.

Responsibilities:

The successful Maths teacher will deliver a full timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes, and will be comfortable delivering to all ability levels. You will be required to commit to taking on full teaching responsibilities including; planning and marking, attending regular training and development opportunities and parents evenings.
